Biofeedback Proprioceptive
FOOT PRESSURE BIOFEEDBACK
INCREASING MUSCLE ACTIVITY OF THE LOWER LIMB COMBINED WITH VISUAL STIMULI
....... mechanical stimulation of the plantar skin during quiet stance has been shown to evoke postural sway that is highly correlated with the cutaneous stimuli...... Maurer et al 2001
This Program allows a number of "exercises" with 5 different levels which allows a patient to progress through a complete re-education process that retrains the patients proprioception.
The most important aspect of this training should be to facilitate the receptorial functions and allow the body/foot to discover it's optimum path of tracking while in contact with the ground.
Every foot is unique and has an indvidual "signature motion"
